Kinga and her mini Mumblers (aged 16 months and 8 yrs) headed over to Hatton Adventure World this Easter! They had a fantastic day saying that “it would take a whole book” to write about everything they did – so here’s their family highlights…
Hatton Adventure World is a place that spreads across miles and miles in the country side just a short drive from Stratford upon Avon. It combines farmland with livestock, play areas for kiddos (both indoor and outdoor) as well as little shopping village with garden centre that makes its own bread (that’s my highlight of a day 🤗)
This place is full of attractions all year round, but this season apart from meeting the amazing New Arrivals (the cutes baby animals as young as 30 mins old) it’s obviously the Easter Eggstravaganza! From 30th March til 15th April 2018 there is a special timetable to accommodate everything Springy-Zingy-Speggtacular Easter events.
We are a Family of four with a ‘take it all or nothing’ eight years old and ‘take no nonsense’ 16 months old. So from the start it’s not easy to satisfy everyone’s needs in the same way.
We arrived in a midday just in time to access a Laser Combat activity. My son was more than excited, to go into this team activity involving running and shooting and getting an opponent flag from their camp and winning. For anyone who is a fan of mud and mad running in a field with a laser gun this is the best fun. This is well organised and supervised by two lads, I do apologise, two Field Marshals who clearly know what they are doing. There is a big field rule chat before the game and its clear there is no messing around, without obviously losing a fun element from this. It was great to watch as well as made my boy buzzing for sometime after the play.
Good job I was well prepared and we had wellies on. I’ve now learnt to respect the fields, as despite the day being sunny and dry the fields are just the fields-always a bit soggy.
There is a lot of different bouncy, inflatable castles/slides/trampolines for under 12 and over the baby stage. It is all supervised so the staff make sure its safe and no more than 10 Crazies go on it. There were also some funfair rides for little ones- too small for eight years old and probably to big for a 16 months baby, despite the fact we didn’t go it was popular and accessible without a long wait.
We couldn’t wait to meet the animals! Apart from usual mini livestock zoo where you have chickens, ducks, sheep, goats, rabbits, donkeys and beloved Guinea pigs and the lizards and snakes(brrr) kingdom; now they also have the New Arrivals tent. This is where little calfs, lambs, chicks, piglets, you name it, are. The amazing bit was to be able to be in a such short distance to the babies and hold them! We personally didn’t have them on our laps but some people did and it was such a great things for the kids.
It would take the whole book to keep writing about this place and what busy and fun day we had. You will find there a Family Theatre, Falconry Shows – we enjoyed watching the Owls – they are pretty amazing aren’t they. We had some luck with Gold Rush- see the pictures. There’s loads of indoor activities to enjoy but we mainly stayed outside and at the end of our adventure we enjoyed a bumpy Tractor Safari and watched other kids having a pony rides.
There is a SuperSlide indoor soft play divided into toddler and babies area and juniors and really spacious dining area. We haven’t tried any food or drinks as again I was ahead of my game and proudly presented homemade wraps in one of the many outdoor picnic area.
“Overall this has been a really fantastic day out, you will not be bored, out of ideas or waiting for things for ages. I would recommend this place to everyone. There are some smart family membership schemes so you can go over and over again.”
