Oily Cart is coming back to Warwick Arts Centre from the 7-11 Feb with a charming and interactive show called Hush A Bye.
There are three version of this show which will perform at different times, for under 2s, for under 5s and a relaxed performance for those with SEN up to the age of 8.
All 10.30am performances and the 11am performance on Sun 11 Feb are designed for toddlers aged 6 months – 2 years. All 1.30pm performances and the 2pm performance on Sun 11 Feb are designed for young children aged 3 – 5 years.
There is an original live score performed throughout the show by musician Kadialy Kouyate on his kora. He sings in Mandinka, his native language – singing bird songs based on stories his grandmother told him. He was born into the great line of Kouyate Griots in Southern Senegal, which can be traced back hundreds of years. The griot is a story teller and Kadialy described it as having storytelling in his blood.
ABOUT THE SHOW
Rock-a-bye baby, on the tree-top, when the wind blows the cradle will rock…
Nestle among branches and meet the neighbours in Oily Cart’s immersive tree-top world. The leafy canopy is home to some of the creatures you might expect, and one you definitely won’t – a tiny baby! How did the infant get up there? Who is looking after them? And how can we help? Experiencing the sights, sounds and smells of a woodland wonderland, the audience must explore to find answers.
Hush-A-Bye is an interactive, multi-sensory production for the very young, with live music, puppets and an enchanting environment.
