Charlecote Park (NT)

A Victorian home set in a landscaped deer park, part of the National Trust.  Picnic, play and wander through the wider parkland, inspired by ‘Capability’ Brown, with views across the river Avon.

Compton Verney is delighted to welcome visitors with children. The Family Room is large and well equipped with games, arts & crafts, chalk boards, DUPLO, puppet show and more.

Tuesdays: Tiny Tuesdays, weekly soft play 11.30am to 3pm FREE FOR UNDER 5s and lots of other activities for kids to do when they get here

Thursdays: Forest School (term time) 12:30pm to 2:30pm FREE FOR UNDER 5’s

Coombe Country Park

For a family day out, or a quiet little picnic, visit Coombe Country Park. It offers 500 acres of beautiful gardens, woodland, lakeside walks, and bird watching. The diverse “Capability” Brown designed landscape makes it ideal for everyone, from families to wildlife enthusiasts and those just looking for a quiet stroll in the woodland.

Evesham Vale Light Railway

The EVLR offers a delightful ride by steam train for all the family, showcasing stunning views across the Vale of Evesham overlooking the Cotswold Hills, plus play fort with picnic area and country walks.

Recreation Ground: Stratford-upon-Avon

The Recreation Ground (or ‘Rec’ as we locals know it) is a large expanse of public open space which offers a range of facilities including football pitches, playground with paddling pool and sandpit, public toilets.  Plus there’s the Chain Ferry for only 50p giving a short cut across the River Avon!

Ryton Pools Country Park

The 100 acres of Ryton Pools Country Park are just waiting to be explored. The many different habitats are home to a wide range of birds and other wildlife. The excellent surfaced paths enable easy walking and cycling around the site, and provide access to an adjoining ancient woodland, Ryton Wood.  There is a Visitor centre, cafe, playground, picnic area and offer birthday party packages.

St Nicholas Park
