Ooh-aar me hearties and shiver me timbers – the pirates have arrived at Hatton Adventure World for May half-term!! With the mixed weather, Emma was delighted to have a weather proof day out with her family – here’s her highlights….
We arrived a few minutes before the Pirate show began and headed straight to the family theatre. My two year old daughter was absolutely fascinated by the pirate ship on the stage, as were all the other mini-pirates that were sat at the front, filled with anticipation.
The show started promptly (this is important when you have a toddler) and instantly my daughter was hooked.
Although too young to understand the story line (Davy Jones is trying to break his curse by finding his lost treasure), she loved the antics of the actors and combined with the lights, magic and water (beware if you sit in the front row!) it really was great fun for all.
Afterwards, all the children were given a small piece of pirate treasure and were able to have their picture taken with the actors of the show. We were then free to explore the other activities going on – and there’s a lot!
As well as pirate themed activities, there were the usual activities that make Hatton so much fun and all included in the entry price – we played in the sandpit, bounced on the trampolines, met the farm animals, stroked guinea pigs, visited the soft play…
“You really can spend the whole day here and not get bored. We’ll definitely be back soon!”
