Forest School at The Croft
The Croft is holding an Early Years and Key Stage 1 Open Morning on Saturday 17 March 2018, from 10 – 12 noon, for children from 3 – 7 years.
Open Mornings at The Croft provide an ideal opportunity for prospective parents to come and look around the excellent facilities the school has to offer. Just as important as the infrastructure is the school’s atmosphere.
“Experiencing The Croft’s spirit and vibrancy is what Open Mornings are all about. Open Mornings at The Croft are informative for parents, and fun and interactive for children.”
Families are given a tour of the school by Year 6 children, who are friendly and knowledgeable, and will tell you what it is like to be a pupil at The Croft.
Tours start in Little Crofters Pre-school, where families will meet the Early Years Manager, Mrs Webber and her team – there is an interactive whiteboard and tabletop activities for the children to discover. Mrs Mills, who is Head of STEM (Science, Technology, Engineering and Maths), will be exhibiting children’s work and activities on the international STEM Week in Pre-Prep (Years 1 & 2). The Recorder Ensemble will be performing in Mundell Court Performance Space. Starburst, our Kunekune pig, lives next to the Performance Space – it’s always nice to say hello to her! A small trek across the Football and Rounders pitches will lead you to The Croft’s accredited Forest School, where exciting activities will be waiting for you by the tee-pee.
The tour will finish in the Theatre, where there is the opportunity to meet the senior members of staff, including the Headmaster, Mr Cook – this is a chance for you to ask any further questions whilst enjoying a cup of tea or coffee.
